So I've taken a new approach. The "happy place/laughing place" approach. Instead of looking at only the usual--issues, values, skills, brains and abilities, etc.--why not throw in sense of humor, comedic timing and funniest writer, too?
So I watched these two videos from the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Dinner. One of John McCain & one of Barack Obama. They both poke fun at themselves, their opponent. They are both funny. But I've decided who I think is the funnier of the two men and that man, "my friends," is gonna get my vote! Watch (and they will make you laugh), decide who you think would make the better stand up comic, & then GUESS who I've voted for.
May the funniest man win. Heaven knows this nation could use something to laugh about!

The rest of their speeches were just as hilarious. SO funny! You know who I voted for--I also think he was the funniest.
I think I know! I applaud your selection process, my sister.
I'm curious about your reaction to the results last night. Were you happy or filled with dread about Obama? That's a good way to know who you really wanted to win.
