I Make My Own Prozac

I woke up a wee bit crabby this morning.
To be more precise, at 5:30 a.m. Mr. Bingley woke me up a wee bit crabby this morning.

I have so much to be doing.  Work!  Work!  Work!
Accomplishments, goals, lists, check offs.

But Little Guy, he has a tooth ache.  He doesn’t care about my check list!  He doesn’t know what heroics it takes to get this family on a road trip.  He just wants permanent attachment to my left hip (and who can blame him?  I’m sure it’s a nice place to rest.)

Finally I got the munchkin down for his first nap at 8:30 with nary a thing checked off my ever increasing list of things to do. Now there are 3 more munchkins needin their mama.

I had to beat these morning blues!   So I. . .
  •           started with my regular mantra: “I am a strong and capable woman.  I am a strong and capable woman.  IcandothisIcandothisIcandothis!”  Feeling a smidgen better.
  •       ate a piece of hot buttered toast with fresh homemade apricot jam.  Thank You Mr. BackYard Farmer & his apprentice Kara for giving me gads of free organic apricots.  Standing a bit taller.
  •       Put one of my favorite playlists “Fireflies and Mosquito Bites” for music therapy.  Listened to Black Water, I’ll Fly Away and Keep On the Sunny Side.  Now I’m shaking my left hip and tapping my right toe.
  •         Grabbed The Baron and did that spontaneous jig he taught me a few months ago.  Laughed and giggled and squeezed that kid so hard he yelled, “TOO TIGHT!  TOO TIGHT!”  Gave the boy 14 kisses on the cheek and swung him around 3 times.

Its official.  I chased that crabby mood far far away.  I am listening to John Denver sing  “Take Me Home Country Roads” and telling him  "I’m already there, Mr. Denver, already there.”

(and since all posts need a visual, here's Mr. Bingley baring some teeth.
At least the teeth are cute, even if they do wake me up EARLY.)

Poor munchkin--cutting teeth is painful work. Keep smiling and forging ahead. The girls will be home today to help you get ready.

I'd say that face is prozac enough. My offer still stands to take your two youngest, I'm just sayin...

Absolutely, completely adorable fellow! 5:30 is much too early for anyone though. Hope you get some extra sleep soon.

I need your mantra this morning...Jared's alarm went off at 4:45 A.M. and unfortunately woke me and Ian up for the day. I'm in desperate need of some of your techniques today! Lovely updates to your home.
