New Camera
After many weeks of research with lots of thinking and thinking and thinking about budgets and picture quality and wide angle and zoom, I finally purchased a new camera. We went with the Lumix DMC-ZS1. I am practical so I made a practical decision. There is a big part of me that wishes I'd gotten the Canon Digital Rebel SLR. . .but the budget won out and I went with affordable. (Can this recession come to an end soon? That would be nice.) Thankfully this point and shoot packs a lot of features and we are quite pleased with the pictures we're getting. I'm hoping to max out the potential of this camera and fulfill my SLR dreams in the future. I am especially liking the night sky pictures. p.s. did you get to see last nights Rainbow? It was magical!

Happy about the new camera! The sky looks absolutely gorgeous. And, sounds like a great reunion. I wish our families did that. It's been so many years since I've seen some of my cousins.
Great pictures! Little Charlie and Sophie are such sweet subjects! :) The night sky pictures are beautiful. I think you have found the perfect camera for you.
