I am cleaning out an old office closet today and I'm trying to chuck out a slew of old college papers/notebooks/binders. It is practically killing me. I could seriously use a coach, "you can do this, you can do this!" I just found a binder full of papers from my first "organization" class I took 13 years ago at Wymount. And ya know what? I chucked those papers in the recycle. My teacher would be proud of me!
How about you? Does de-junking come easily for you or is it a "required surgery"? And why do you think that is? Is it in out DNA, the way we saw it modeled when we were raised?

The average american family of 4 collects 2000 lbs a year and brings it into their home. If you don't watch what you bring in....you get a fat house that needs to be put on a diet! I can't believe how good it feels to have a skinny home now. As we are moving out to rent it while we are on our mission, we have sensibly dejunked. Of course, I'm a saver of sentimental things, but I have learned to take a picture of some of them. Then the item stores smaller. See my blog a few weeks ago. It is a huge relief! I am happy to store my stuff at DI or Good will and go and get it when I need it
I am NOT good at it (yet) but I am one of those people that feels really good when it's over!! :)
And I have had a terrible teacher in my parents...they save EVERYTHING!!!
