Hail Storm Revisited

So we had this massive hail storm.  It was all the talk.  Did you see the hail coming down?  All it looked like was a sheet of white!  The Professor was sure, "That's never happened here before.  Not ever."  And for some reason, when I likely should have been getting dinner on, I decided these folks needed to blow off some steam by tramping through the world's largest puddle, or at least their neighborhood's largest puddle.  The big kids weren't sure they wanted to join us, but in the end, they were glad they were there.  How do I know this was a successful outing?  Later that night The Baron said to me, "Mom!  Mom!  Remember today, when we went to go play in the ocean. . ."  The ocean.
In this kids mind I had taken him all the way to the ocean, not just two streets away at the neighborhood park.  That's what I call a big deposit in the kids emotional bank account.  The whole time I was keeping my fingers crossed they wouldn't  bring any funky waterborn illnesses home and all was in deed well.  Mission accomplished!
