On Record

I loved the Hunger Games.  Like really loved it.  Catching Fire. . . just as good.  But Mocking Jay?  I am disappointed.  Mocking Jay sucks.  I want a rewrite.

I am so sad. I have not read it yet, but I am something like 111 on the library hold list. Maybe I will just delete myself off of the list...maybe. Or maybe my lack of expectation derived from your post will make me like it better...hopefully.

Candice, I hope you do like it better than me and that my comments didn't "spoil" your future reading experience! but I was feeling so disstisfied with last night's ending that I had to vent. I checked Amazon reviews (they have lots of spoilers there) and many fans are feeling much like I am. I'd love to hear your thoughts after you do read it! And you should at least look into reading it, but put it down if its bringing you down too much. I think I got depression for two days from reading it.

I did not read the whole of the last volume--just the last few chapter while standing at walmart. But from that I decided not to bother reading the whole book. The ending was lukewarm.

I am so sad too! I read the first two, and so did my daughter. We quickly got a copy and she was so disappointed, that now I am slow to pick it up. I have not heard one good review of the book.

I enjoyed the first two, but after talking to some other women, I decided that I am not going to even bother with the third. So disappointing, and your post confirms everything else I've heard.

I loved the first two! But the last one it seemed like the author got bored and just finished it. When she could have made it just as amazing.
