(Just because I can't seem to post in a timely manner does not mean I don't *HEART* Mother's Day)
I had sick kids on Mother's Day, but they were still nice to me.
Really nice.
Like I got the happy tears when I read their cards.
30 minutes before church started I found this little guy playing in the irrigation (that would be mud) in the backyard! Ugh! How I still managed to sit down in my pew before the opening song was a Mother's Day Miracle.
At church they gave us the week off. No woman did a single one of her callings, it was all covered by the men. That meant the Mr. taught sunbeams and I went to Sunday School and Relief Society. Relief Society was a brief message on the importance of women and then socializing while eating cheese cake! It was one of the best Mother's Day gifts ever!
Both my mom and my sweet mother in law were out of town, so instead of Sunday dinner we relaxed around here and played Balderdash (at my request). It was hilarious. My favorite definition (to a word I no longer remember): "a person who, though allergic to milk, makes his living as a professional cheese carver". That Savvy daughter of mine!
I love getting to be a mom.

Happy Mother's Day (belatedly)to you! What darling, creative kids you have. And, I love how the women were given the day off on Sunday.
Glad you had a good MOther's Day even amidst the illnesses. Who drew the picture of their cute mother? And if Charlie weren't so darn cute you could really get upset about the mud. It seems like yesterday that I was washing off muddy children in the laundry sink by the back door!
