(A Madison Easter greeting card original, with empty tomb detail)
Our Easter celebrations started Thursday evening with a trip to the temple to watch the Easter Pageant. It was beautiful (and cold) while we ate tuna sandwiches on our metal folding chairs. Our own Easter miracle was that Sophie was well behaved enough to watch the entire production (from my lap while I whispered a steady stream of interpretive dialogue into her curious ears).
Friday we ventured into new egg dying territory with Martha Stewart as our guide.
Saturday was spent enjoying conference and making Easter hair accessories (pictures will be forth coming, but see if you can spot the fruits of our labors (er petals of our labor?) in the crazy family picture.
Sunday, more spiritual enlightenment via conference and Sunday dinner with the in laws.
And for a brief conference roundup report, I'll say that the talks that most spoke directly to me were Elder Bednar's and Elder Hales, mainly where they two overlapped in their parenting council. "Mom, are you in there?" is still ringing in my ears, but in a very good way. I love listening to our leaders.

Glad you had a great Easter, we missed you guys last night, everyone looks so cute, I'm loving the flowers!
How could you forget that cake!?
Conference was so great. Love the family picture and may have to hire you to make me a hair accessory of my own.
We missed you here on Easter. Those of us here had a great time at the Johanson's. I am anxious to see Nancy's pictures of the afternoon. I hope she posts the one of the cake I made before it fell apart. At least it tasted good. Everything else was great! Love your family picture with all your green and lavender and hair decorations. Happy the pageant was good for Sophie and all the others.
love the purple flowers! and your ruffled shirt - fabulous!
Beck, call us on Steve's cell. I can't get a hold of you.
Love the easter outfits and especially loved those talks. It was amazing how many talks were on the family. I loved loved loved it!
Gorgeous family. Love the lavender and green theme. Those flowers are beautiful. I LOVED Elder Hales' talk. It made me want to be a much better and more attentive mom. I missed Elder Bednar's talk, but I always enjoy him, so I will have to go back and read his. So grateful for lds.org for catchin' up on what I missed. Happy spring to you! We're trying to soak up the last few weeks of spring weather before the heat begins. I know that you're probably doing the same thing in AZ.
I find it hard to believe it was COLD at the Mesa Easter Pagent. You have been living in the desert for too long Becky.
I am loving the varied shades of purple, it goes so well with the green.
Yes, Katie, it was COLD. You, my dear, have been away from the desert for TOO LONG! Really. You should come visit me :)
