When Family Comes to Town

I was elated and honored to receive a little visit from my UT family last week. It was "shop till you drop" with these fine ladies around. We hit every antique store along the Mesa to Pine highway. Would you have guessed that the thrift store in Pine, AZ was where all the good deals were? We were having so much fun relaxing in the mountains that the only time I snatched a pic was of Mr. Bingley taking a gleeful bath.
Thankfully, my shoppers extraordinaire mom and sister let us stay home long enough to do some projects, too. The crafty duo taught me how to reupholster some chairs. Boy did my grandmother's old chairs need a makeover or what? I'm loving the results.

We also completely did the girls bedroom. This occassion is worthy of a little Hallalujah shout! as the "before" was so sorry I didn't even muster up the strength to take a picture of it. My sister, Candace Olson, I mean Fancy Nancy, offered all her design savvy. I love the results so much I do a little swoon every time I open their bedroom door. Pictures of the finished result will be forthcoming. . . a little something to look forward to ;)

That was a great yogurt outing picture of the three of us. We must have been finished eating that delectable dessert. Charlie is so cute in the kitchen sink in Pine. O'Pee would love the chairs. They look great. Can't wait to see the finished Girls' room. Thank you so much for such a fun time while we were there. Anxious to see you all at Christmas.
