Utah Trip: A Photographic Essay

The view out my window on the first morning I woke up in Utah.
I guess it snows here.

When the sun comes out, the snow looks pretty. That's when you know it's time to go shopping.

The Elves at Gardner Village, entertaining, though slightly frightening.

Do you see what I mean?

Lunch at Quilted Bear, the perfect occasion for reminiscing about all the funny things you remember your parents saying when you were growing up.

Quilted Bear also affords many an opportunity for silly photo taking. Taking silly photos with your sisters scores a "quite high" on the "Emotionally Detoxifying Undertakings" list.
(You may reference back to the hanging elf at Gardener Village for further evidence)

Visiting my mother is much like going to a museum from my childhood. I am surrounded by memory-evoking artifacts, especially at this the Christmas Season.

The view out the front windshield on the way to the airport on my last day there.
Don't think we broke 35 the entire drive up I-15 to the airport.
Some Utah things will be missed less than others.

Though this looks like snow, it is sugar. Sugar all over my pantry floor. It was Sunshine's way of saying, "Welcome Home Mom! We've missed you."

Welcome home! It looks like you and your sisters and mom had a fun time. Wish you could have brought just a little bit of that snow back home!

Sorry about your sugary welcome back home. But it was great to have you here. Thanks for all the fun. You would probably be glad you left when you did as we have had a couple more big snow storms since, almost a foot just today, and no sun for shopping later. Laurie has had fun with his snow blower.

I loved the surprise ending. I am glad that your husband was wonderful enough to send you to Utah, even though we had that insane blizzard.

So glad we got to play and do impersonations of Mom and Dad. Good times! And I'm with Mom, you're lucky you left when you did. I'm thinking maybe you should have taken you with me!

Oh, how I wish I could have been there on your fun Utah trip. I guess I will just have to photo-shop myself into the photos.
Thanks for documenting it for me so I could at least enjoy a bit of the journey!

My mom just got back from UT also. Wish I could have snuck in either of your suitcases and tagged along.
