Another Reason to Love the Five Year Olds

5 Year Olds exhibit Uninhibited Problem Solving Skills.

Case In Point:

The Baron brought me this delightful little drawing recently and said, "Mom, I drew this. It is for you."

Wanting to know more about his intent with out cluing him into my cluelessness, I said what any dignified mother says "This is lovely, son. Tell me about it."

The Baron: "It is a wicked witch. She's on a broom with her evil giraffe."

Evil Giraffe? I stiffle a giggle. "And why does she have an evil giraffe as her side kick, son?"

Sam: "Because I don't know how to draw cats."

As you can see, he knows how to draw evil giraffes with the strokes of a master.

Sam B is so smart. Don't we all draw evil giraffes when I don't know how to draw cats? That is so funny.

Ya gotta love those evil girraffs and the great little boys who make them up and put them down on paper for the rest of us to see.

My son still will leave me voicemail messages saying, "Hi, Mom. This is Jack _______."

Oh! I'm glad he clarified that some other Jack wasn't calling me Mom. :)

Dontcha just want to squeeze them when they do stuff like that?!
