We recently had the great pleasure of accompanying Kara's ward's mom's club on an outing to the Mesa Museum for Youth to see their new Jim Hensen Exhibit. Who knew that Jim Hensen was quite so genius? He takes these delightful little scribble drawing and magically brings them to life, turns a thought into some of the most loved and memorable characters of my childhood (make that millions of children's childhoods). That man's got vision!
And look, there's Kermy himself! And did you know that the first Kermit the Frog was made from Jim's mother's old spring coat with a severed ping pong ball for eyes? Or just how they get Big Bird to walk and move?
Take your little ones to go see this! It brings back a ton of sweet memories to share with the next generation. We even rented the Muppets Take Manhattan for the kids last night and I was laughing as much as they were at Miss Piggie's ridiculousness! Thanks for taking us, Kara! It was great.

Katie went to this with her second grade class and loved it--I need to take Emily to see it though. I have so many good Muppet Memories. One of my favorites is the Sweedish Chef :-).
