You Know You Want To

Let's imagine that you are feeling kinda, well, blah. Bored. Listless. The ho-hum of life is just getting you down. You feel you're missing something. Something's not right, but you just can't put your finger on it. If you could only figure out what that something is. . .I know. I know just how you feel, cuz I've felt that way before too. But, now--listen carefully, because--I have figured out just what that something is. Disneyland.

Yes. It's DISNEYLAND.

Disneyland is what is missing from your life. But not just any old Disneyland. A girls trip to Disneyland. A girls trip to Disneyland with me StarGirl and Luna! 3 Happy Girls in the Happiest Place on Earth? I know what you're thinking: I wanna come!

Here's the low down: LUna ans StarGirl have the great dream-come-true of performing in that happiest place on earth with their Musical Theatre class in April! Whoo-Hoo! This is exactly what any MDT loving 10 year old dreams of. And of course their loving supportive mama is all about making their dreams come true. But their Theatre class isn't chartering a bus or putting together some group sign up sheets to get us there. It's get to Disneyland on your own. Find your own hotel. It's a "See you there and we'll dance and sing" sorta a thing.

And though my Favorite Guy is still my favorite guy. . . he just doesn't want to go this time. We just went in December and between the 5 year old wants and the 10 year olds needs he was feeling pulled in too many Disney directions. I tried to convince him how fun it would be. His daughters dancing, the characters, the rides, the smell of churros wafting through the air. Terrifying towers, lands of Fantasy and Fantastmic shows. He wasn't buying it. And the thought of driving to Disneyland and being in Disneyland alone is, hello, lonesome! I don't like lonesome one bit.

But as I was thinking about it I realized that Handsome is right. This trip should really be a girls weekend. That sounds supremely fun. Totally different from family vacation to Disneyland. Much more sponatneous and carefree. Sure to cure the ho-hum of life blues. So to my friends, family and fellow bloggers of America, I say:

YOU'RE INVITED!

Come with us! Being a girl and liking Disneyland are the only pre-requisites (Girl? Check. Like Disneyland? Check.) It will be so fun! We should really sign up a documentary team to film the whole thing. I've only got 4 extra seats in my 7 passenger mini van, so sign up quick! Since I'm covering hotel and gas, what have you got to lose?
I'm putting on my Mouse Ears right now and Luna and StarGirl have been sleeping in their tiaras since we got word that Miss Jenee's class is going!

Mom, you know this would be just as fun as Wicked in San Diego! This is also prime opportunity for reaching Favorite Aunt Status. Nancy, think it over! Katie, I haven't seen you in way to long! Angela, forget reading about Fairy Princesses, lets be princesses! And the rest of you (you know who you are), just tell me you want to come, would like to come. You know those seats are going fast now that I've posted this opportunity on the world-wide web!

Mickey, hang on honey, we're coming!

How fun to catch up on your last 3 posts. I have to agree with the magic of Disneyland, I think heaven must of had a similar feeling.
You got me motivated to go to the library. I haven't been for years, I am sorry to admit. That is all going to change. Thanks!

I want to go! But I don't know that it's in the travel budget. When is it, by the way? We are planning to be in Phoenix from around April 12 through the 19th, and we'd love to see you.

Seriously.
You are killing me right now.
I'll chat with you in person and see if I can talk DH into letting me and the girls join you.
YOU KNOW how hard it is for me to turn down a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth...

I wish I could come, but aside from having neither the $ nor the time, I only meet half the qualifications. Have the greatest girls outing EVER!

Uh...you know I can't refuse a trip to Disneyland...but were you planning on driving there by way of Provo? I'll talk to the favorite uncle and see if he's up for it, but, we don't really have any vacation days to spare with the whole week-long family reunion thing in July.

Yes, when exactly in April is this trip to Disneyland. I know it would be just as much fun as Wicked was, but I kind of happened upon that trip when I was already in Phoenix. Did you say you had the car and the hotel covered? exactly what did you mean by that?

Are you the best writer, or what? Your post are always so classic.

I want to go to Disnyland so bad. Darnet! if I only didn't have medical bills that were out of control this year.I know were only in the 3rd month of this new year. I would go in a heartbeat. I got really excited reading the post. I was ready to go right then. Gosh! if money only grew on tree's. You are going to have way to much fun. Lets plan something again. I am always up for hanging out with great gal's, and fantastic conversation's.

If only my life weren't in limbo, then I'd be all for doing the limbo with you at D-land!
