Top 10 Things about our new Sunday Schedule

10. Woke up to strains of beautiful "Sunday Music" coming from the kitchen, set to play by Richard on his way out the door to meetings.

9. Found my kids were already awake and had even fed themselves breakfast!

8. Discovered said kids happily playing together (Whoo-Hoo Kids! Way to be a family!). . . in their p.j.'s and robes. . .jumping on the trampoline. . . (remember, it's Sunday morning, and that's a bit of a no-no.)

7. Before the first bite of my yummy steel cut oats entered my mouth Savanna exclaimed, "MOM! Isn't it fast Sunday?" Yes, they remembered before I ate--though not before they ate. (Its always great to have my kids parent me. They're good at that.)

6. Danced a jig to most lovely folk version of "Praise to the Man" with Jacob while we cleaned up breakfast dishes. (Check out this must-have c.d. "Return to Nauvoo" by Fiddlesticks here Listen to Sample here) Honestly, I love these traditional and old tyme hymns.

5. With newer church schedule, kids had time to email grandma a "handmade" postcard.

4. Sophie took a full fledged nap before church!

3. Maddie made us scrumptious triple chocolate chip cookie bars. Delicious!

2. Dinner is all ready for tomorrow since my wonderful mother in law invited us to dinner at her house and we gladly accepted despite having already cooked a roast, carrots and potatoes and even made a loaf of homemade bread!

And the number one thing about our Sunday is. . .It's not quite 10 p.m. and all the kids are sound asleep! Hoorah!

So here's to looking for the good in your day! Hope you found some in yours as well.

Much Love,

Becky
p.s. I even snapped a pic of the kids crazy jumping in matching robes, but a missing cable is precluding me from sharing.

Oh man, Brian and I had been going to 9:00am church for two and half years. We'd been looking forward to the switch to 11:00 for a long time. Glad you had a nice morning.

I happen to like my Sunday Schedule. I have to leave the house at seven thirty am. for sacrament meeting that starts at 8. But most Sundays I am finished with meetings at ll. And only one Sunday a month do I have to say til 12. Then I have the whole afternoon to make it a day of rest. Poor Laurie though has a six thiry am. branch presidency meeting.

We just switched to one. I kind of feel like I lose the entire day when we have afternoon church - I can't figure out what I do all morning. But, we were much closer to on time this week then normal!
