Dream Dream Dream Job

Let's play pretend.

What do you want to be when you "grow-up"?

Pretend you could have any kind of job in the whole wide world. Anything. Doesn't have to be realistic. You don't have to have any natural aptitude or skill base to make this job a reality. This is beyond dream job, it is PRETEND* dream job. What might those imagined jobs be?

1. Master Gardener/Landscape Designer. I will have magical intuition for nurturing plant life and a vision for a harmonious blending of color, texture, smell, even the sounds leaves would make when the wind blows through the trees. I would work for StourHead Gardens in England and do consulation work on the side for anybody interested. My blood bleeds green.

2. English Professor by day, (Novelist by Night?). Think of the books we could read! The things we could research! The discussions we could have! Man am I excited for this class.

3. A Doctor. Not just any doctor. A brilliant, life-saving doctor who works for the World Health Organization traveling the globe to bring health and compassion to those in the most destitute of health situations. If I did this I would also need to know how to dig and build wells and have an divination gift for locating pure, clean water.

Okay. Now don't over analyze it, just go with your gut reactions and write down some ideas in the comments page people!! No reading it without writing down at least one dream job idea and it can be as crazy or crazier than mine.

*A pre-schooler lives at my house. Pretend play occurs daily.

My dream job right now would be that of creating beautiful pictures to frame in ornate frames and hang on the walls and have everybody ooh and aah over.

Rich, maybe you could housesit a particular house I saw in the paper here today, it was a multimillion dollar ski lodge in Deer Valley that would rent for over ten thousand dollars per night unless of course if was during the christmas holidays or the Sundance film festival at which times you would have to pay about 15,000 dollars per night.

I have to go with Rock Star. This is definately "pretend dream job" since I've never sang for anything. It just seems fun. :) So glad you have a blog too.

I really would love to be an interior designer who sets up shop in a bakery/botique, who also moonlights as an author on her fabulous life. Of course I would make lots and lots of money and be incredibly sought after.

I would be a professional dancer. And if I failed at that I would be a junior high math teacher who makes an incredible amount of money! (See I think I have my dream job aside from making lots of money.)

I would absolutely love to be a children's librarian so I could recommend books and do story times. If not that, maybe opening a natural foods restaurant. Very fun question.

I would either be on So You Think You Can Dance over and over (the seasons would just continue, and I would never be kicked off :) ), or I would host my own show on Food Network. It would be called "Fusion," and I'd create all sorts of culinary masterpieces that fuse different tastes and cultures. (Can you tell I've put some thought into this?? Ha ha! :) )

Director of an arts school with unlimited funds. A place I wish existed when I was raising my kids. You could drop them off at one location instead of the insane car pools and driving to and from everywhere to get the best lessons. They would take lessons in voice, musical instruments, dance, drama, and art all at one location with the very best teachers and most of it would be free because of the generous grants from people like Opra.2nd choice vice president to Mitt.

I would be a music composer and conductor of the orchestra that would play my compositions.

Okay, I've been thinking about this one so I guess I've over analyzed but I want to change mine. I just want to be paid for doing what I do. What could be better than being able to stay home with my kids? Just bring on the money and perfect dream job.
